Magnetic Inductive Flow Meters

MAG-FLUX F5

Magnetic-inductive sensor suitable for measuring small and very small quantities

This special type of magnetic-inductive sensors (MID) is particularly suitable for measuring flows of very small quantities and especially for use in portioning and metering tasks. Combined with the Transmag 2 measuring transducer, the integrated metering software can solve complex metering challenges.

The magnetic-inductive sensor is recommended for flow measurement of electrically conductive liquids – especially for measuring very small quantities. The mag-flux F5 is available in nominal sizes DN 2 to DN 12.

Area of application:

Typical applications of the mag-flux F5 flow meter are measuring very small quantities and metering chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

The magnetic-inductive sensor is used in the following industries:
  • Plant and mechanical engineering
  • Chemicals
  • Laboratory and medical technology
  • Food
  • Water and wastewater

  • Advantages of the magnetic-inductive flow meter for measuring very small quantities:
  • Reliability (long-term stability, service life))
  • Minimal maintenance requirements
  • Simple commissioning
  • High measurement accuracy
  • Flexible installation position (however the measuring tube must be completely full at all times)
  • Manufacturer's application expertise
  • Short lead times

  • Special features of the flow meter:
  • Measuring tube made of highly corrosion and temperature-resistant zirconium oxide
  • Measuring tube internal diameter from 2 mm (0.078")
  • Robust and interference-free thanks to sealed steel casing

  • Very low measuring ranges:
  • 0 to 5 l/h (0 to 0.022 USgpm) for d.c. measurement
  • 0 to 3 l/h (0 to 0.0132 USgpm) for a.c. measurementr

  • Very low minimum conductivity:
  • 10 μS/cm for d.c. measurement
  • 0.1 μS/cm for a.c. measurement
